This privacy policy applies to the Awaybook app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Away Studio LLC (hereby referred to as “we”, “us” or "our") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. It may include:

• Anonymized data about the pages of the Application that you visit, including the time and date of your visit
• General information about the operating system you use on your mobile device, without any personally identifiable details

We want to assure you that this data is collected in an aggregate, anonymized form and is used solely for improving the Application's functionality and user experience. It cannot be used to identify or track individual users.

Hotel Stay Data

Your hotel stay data is central to the Awaybook experience. We handle this information with the utmost care and transparency:

• Your hotel stay data is stored locally on your device, not on our servers.
• We use Apple's CloudKit for secure synchronization across your devices. For information on how Apple handles this data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• We cannot access your hotel stay data.
• We may collect anonymized data (e.g., "a hotel stay was added") to improve the app.

This approach ensures your data remains under your control while allowing for seamless use across your devices.

Photos

We respect the privacy and security of your personal photos:

• Photos are displayed locally on your device using Apple's on-device API.
• We never transfer your photos to our servers.
• Your photos remain on your device and are not accessible to us.

Precise Location Data

The Application may use precise location data only when you choose to search for nearby hotels. Here's how we handle this information:

• Precise location is accessed only with your explicit permission for hotel searches
• We do not permanently store precise location data
• This data may be temporarily present in server logs for up to 30 days
• Precise location information cannot be associated with individual users

We may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

For a better experience, while using the Application, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid us in improving the Application and their service. We may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at frontdesk@awaybook.app and they will respond in a reasonable time.

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
